Electrical Performance

ADCNT-PA6 MB achieves percolation at exceptionally low loading levels, preserving the mechanical properties of the base polymer while delivering permanent conductivity.

Masterbatch Properties

When diluted into neat PA6, the masterbatch forms a conductive CNT network that dramatically reduces electrical resistivity.

Target Surface Resistivity band (Ω/sq) CNT in PA6 (wt%) Required CNT‑PA6 MB in PA6 (wt%)
10⁹–10¹¹ Ω/sq (Antistatic) ~3% ~ 20% MB
10⁷–10⁹ Ω/sq (ESD) ~5% ~ 33% MB.
10⁵–10⁷ Ω/sq (Conductive ESD) ~7% ~ 47% MB.
10³–10⁴ Ω/sq (Highly conductive / EMI‑assist) ~10% ~ 67% MB

Application Matrix

Shear & Mixing Control:
Use standard PA6 screws but avoid high shear and long residence time to prevent CNT breakage and loss of conductivity. Ensure uniform premixing using a tumbler mixer or gravimetric dosing system.

Handling Precautions:
Store in sealed moisture-proof packaging in a cool, dry environment. Re-dry material if exposed to moisture, minimize dust during handling, and follow CNT safety (SDS) guidelines.

Application-Based Usage:
Adjust CNT loading (typically 3–10 wt%) based on application needs such as ESD connectors, automotive components, cable ties, and EMI shielding housings.

Processing Guidelines

Proper handling and processing are critical to achieving optimal dispersion and electrical performance. The CNT network must be established uniformly throughout the polymer matrix.

Storage & Handling
  • Store in cool, dry conditions away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Keep packaging sealed when not in use.
  • If exposed to moisture, redry material before processing.
Drying Requiremnts

PA6 is moisture sensitive. Both base polymer and masterbatch should be dried to below 0.1% moisture before processing.

Processing Temperature
Melt Temperature 240–270°C
Mold Temperature 60–90°C
